  • Job Summary

    The Finance Reporting Specialist will perform intermediate reporting functions involving membership, product sales, retail, and programming. This position requires accuracy and efficiency and the ability to understand and compute data for various projects. Work will be reviewed by the Senior Business Analyst.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Works cross-departmentally to determine proper coding for budget reconciliations
    • Determines opportunities for funding through data retrieval, analysis, and research
    • Determines process improvements for streamlined and seamless Mission Delivery reporting
    • Researches and resolves data reporting discrepancies and other outstanding items when generating reports
    • Be a high-functioning team player
    • Communicates with department leadership as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information or resolve problems
    • Prepares standard operating procedures for reporting
    • Adheres to GSGATL Finance Policies and provides guidance to other departments about the policies
    • Other duties as assigned

    Skills & Experience

    • Basic Financial Analysis: The ability to analyze financial data. This includes creating spreadsheets, explaining variances, identifying issues, and making appropriate recommendations.
    • Demonstrate understanding and utilization of computer systems and applications as tools for analysis with knowledge of features/functionality in various systems
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work while managing multiple deadlines
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Able to understand data rules and apply the rules consistently to dynamic data and inputs
    • Proven ability with the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Must have accurate typing and data entry skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills

     

    PREFERRED SKILLS 

    • At least two years of experience in operational reporting, or data management field
    • Knowledge of Girl Scout organization

     

    Minimum Qualifications

     

    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office software as well as computerized accounting systems 

     

    *Must successfully complete a criminal, motor vehicle, and credit background check.
