    Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta is looking for someone with vision and energy to help us with our mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character. Girl Scouts is the largest girl-led organization in the world, with membership reaching 3.4 million throughout the United States, including U.S. territories, and in more than 90 countries through USA Girl Scouts Overseas. We are investing in all of our business initiatives, so the opportunities to make an impact have never been greater. The Fund Development intern reports directly to the Donor Services Manager and will work closely with the entire Fund Development team. She/he will have the opportunity to complete projects for Fund Development, and attend our team meetings. This internship will touch on all aspects of individual and corporate fundraising, events and donor services.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Observe and participate in weekly Fund Development team meetings.
    • Complete a major Research project to find female owned/led companies and organizations with female. initiatives, sports and entertainment brands, and professional Atlanta individuals that the development team can review for possible inclusion on the donor pipeline.
    • Assist with other research projects as needed.
    • Learn Raiser’s Edge NXT donor system and best practices on inputting donor research and data.
    • Create an annual fund appeal for FY19 and present to the Development team.
    • Gain valuable event planning experience by assisting with Fall event prep and follow-up.

    Skills & Experience

    • College Junior or Senior working towards a degree in a related field
    • Knowledge of Girl Scout organization is a plus
    • Applicants should have relevant experience, or have taken course work in Non-Profit Administration, Non-Profit Management, Philanthropy or Business Administratio
    • Proven Research skills
    • Must be Microsoft proficient
