Job Summary

The Product Program Logistics Coordinator is responsible for oversight of product and girl reward delivery for both product programs (Girl Scout Cookie and Treats & Keeps).  This position provides supervision for Area Cookie Coordinators and Cookie Cupboard positions.  She/he will collaborate with the Senior Director to ensure effective inventory (product/rewards) management to meet the financial and program goals of both Product Programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison with delivery agents to oversee the logistics and inventory of products including storage and distribution in warehouses.
  • Manage delivery of girl rewards and products for both Product Programs to Service Units, Troops, and parents. Reconcile lost/missing inventory and prepare inventory reports for product and girl rewards for billing accuracy.
  • Manage Cookie Cupboard process by securing council cupboard locations, developing cupboard manager/clerk position descriptions and training/supervising the temp staff.
  • Partner with Senior Director to implement and manage a cost-effective inventory management and distribution system for the Cookie Program, ensuring product availability and volunteer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Senior Director to manage Count N Go, initial order cookie and product delivery to volunteers including site selection/setup, volunteer management and scheduling pick-up/delivery time.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise Area Cookie Coordinators, ensuring successful support of Service Unit Cookie Managers.
  • Recruit volunteers to serve as Service Unit Chairs for both programs, maintain accurate volunteer database in Volunteer Systems, and serve as liaison between council and Service Unit Chairs.
  • Develop relationships with external organizations and manage distribution of cookies for council Smiles4Military program.
  • Perform setup for Nut-e and eBudde applications.
  • Provide customer support to volunteers and/or parents for both Product Programs.
  • Successfully executes other duties as assigned

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Intermediate Excel skills to organize, calculate, and interpret data required
  • Knowledgeable of the functionality of SalesForce application
  • A highly organized individual who can work independently to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to comprehend software specific to delivery of both Product Programs (Nut-e and eBudde)
  • Committed to customer service excellence from training to implementation; embracing continual adaption and change to ensure support meets the needs volunteers
  • Demonstrated experience in an environment where cross-functional experience is required for success
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and volunteers tactfully
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; problem solving and follow through skills.
  • Achievement oriented; takes initiative, follows through on commitments and focuses on results and how they are achieved
  • Passionate about building entrepreneurial skills in girls
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends during peak periods
